We have not had nearly as much snow as normal here in the mountains. There is enough however to make a normally simple three-mile hike a little harder to do. First, just getting out of our driveway was treacherous because our cold nights and sunny days are turning it into an ice rink. Once I was out on the trail I had to be cautious but it was an invigorating and beautiful hour outdoors. I have been down with a couple of colds this winter and not getting in as much exercise I would like so today I practically skipped along the trail. I had my iPod music going and I was singing aloud. It felt so great!
