Turning into a Pumpkin
Remember the Cinderella story, where if she didn't get home by a certain time her carriage would turn into a pumpkin? Well the skirt I wore today made me think of that story. I'm not sure why, except the pumpkin color of the skirt is so rich and perfect to my eye. The skirt is one of my thrift finds and there is not a label anywhere. There is a size tag inside but otherwise it looks like a very well made, handmade skirt. Notice the embroidery and beaded detail around the bottom? I wore this skirt with a denim shirt from Target, my OTK boots from Vince Camuto and a long necklace, bracelet and ring that I have had for many years.
Can anyone give me ideas of ways to wear a full skirt that doesn't drown the body? I don't like to tuck things in because I have a short waist.
