The time has come. Winter weather has arrived in our beautiful mountains. It was 38 degrees while I took these pictures and our high for the day will be 39. You can't see it but it is snowing also. As much as I don't enjoy the cold, I adore the beauty of our country side as it transitions from one season to the next. And the fall to winter transition is one of the most amazing displays for me. I won't put on a coat until absolutely necessary but I love to layer with tops, vests and scarves. 

As I was writing this post I looked out the window to see this Mule Deer.  The miracle of life and nature takes my breath away always!
