This coming weekend we are hosting the local chapter of the Idaho Aviation Association Holiday party. So far we have about 40 RSVPs. I am having such fun getting ready. The decorating is done with a simple tree, wreaths in windows and festive ribbons tied all around the house. I started making candies and cookies and I have a list of fun dishes to make. We have a piano player coming to play while guests are here and an abundance of drinks for everyone to enjoy. 

I have so many fun things to wear, I can't decide! I thought about dressing up a little and took these pictures of an option, inspired by a Link Up with How I Wear My Brooch but I missed the deadline for submission. Everyone should check out this link up, it is so fun to see all the brooches. The brooch I am wearing in this outfit, the only one I own and old is a silver airplane. I decided to wear it on my hip for fun. I have ruled out this outfit for the party, I think I will go a little more casual since I will be very busy running around making sure things run smoothly. 

We haven't seen the sun for some time here. The snow is up past our knees when we go outside. Our electricity went out for an hour yesterday due to the heavy snow. Today it is above freezing and raining. I guess that is winter for  you!
