Natural Habitat

It has been raining here for about a couple of weeks. I am not complaining because it is needed but I haven't wanted to venture out to take pictures. So, I have been trying to find visually pleasant places to take indoor pictures (my natural habitat). As I have said before, I live in a small town and I work from home so my home is my haven; a place where I work and carry on the business of life. On top of my job as an educational researcher, I do everything from clean house to split wood and I am grateful to be able to do so. As I grow older I find that the smallest tasks are a pleasure and almost anything can be a new adventure. Being busy with life is very key to my happiness.

On St. Patrick's day I switched out my winter clothes with my spring/summer clothes in my closet. I cleaned out everything that was no longer something I would use. I have two large bags for the consignment store and two large bags and a few boxes to donate to McPaws our local thrift shop where all proceeds go to the local animal shelter.  It is so nice to have everything in order and uncluttered.

Before I kicked off my shoes and got to work, I dressed for the holiday. Since I have Irish and Scottish ancestors, I just had to wear my favorite color, green. I also wanted to wear a pair of my cords one more time before they went into hibernation for the summer. Sorry about the hair but remember this is also my natural habitat and I don't do my hair every day.

I'm wearing my St. Patrick's day top. I have had it for years and pull it out every year for this holiday.  With the top I am wearing navy cords and tan suede heels. For jewelry I am wearing my green earrings. After I took quick pictures, I kicked off my heels and started to work.
