Crazy Town

I am writing this post while I wait for my hair to air dry. Lately I have unsuccessfully been trying to bring out what used to be a little natural curl!  Where did that go? Too much wine? Ha Ha. The crazy town part of this post is that I have seen so many bloggers successfully wear pattern on pattern. Mostly floral and stripes or plaid and floral. I always look and am amazed that it really is striking. But I also always think, I cannot pull that off. I was raised under the impression that mixing patterns was just bad taste. Then I opened up to the idea of pattern mixing in home decor as long as you stay in the same color family. I have done that in so many rooms of my home with curtains and cushions. So today, after being lifted up by the most amazing ladies' comments and emails on my blog my creative juices started flowing again. I used my home decor idea in my outfit. My OOTD is a striped Tory Burch dress (major sale find last fall), and a paisley scarf in the same blue family. The minute I put it on I knew I liked it. I wore my blue Michael Kors wedge heels and a surprise touch with my orange tassel earrings.

Later that day . . .

I have been out, taken pictures and wanted to update you. The dress is actually black and white. I thought it was dark blue but when I got in the sun I realized, oopsie! Oh well, you get what I was going for.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
