Hello summer . . .

I have had a rough couple of weeks. I made a trip back to the  Midwest to visit family and it was a very stressful trip. So stressful that for the first time in most of my adult life, I got really sick. I ran a temperature for several days and felt lucky to make it back on the right plane and home. Yesterday was the first day in almost two weeks that I felt like moving much and today I felt like a veil had been lifted and life seemed good again. Being stressed and sick is bad but in my case it reminded me of all I am grateful for, mostly good health.

This evening it was the warmest day we have had yet this summer. Low 80s. Just a couple of days ago our high was in the 50s. I was ready for heat and I put on a casual maxi dress, poured a little wine and stepped out into the world again.

I've never worn this dress. I bought it last fall online at Nordstrom Rack when summer clothes were very discounted. It is a Karen Kane. I picked up a few dresses then, knowing I would use them this summer. I think a maxi says summer casual like nothing else. You can be dressed nice, but at the same time be very comfortable. I wore a pair of Tommy Bahama flip flops also bought in the fall at 6PM.com and topped my outfit with a boat hat. My third piece? Ha Ha. A glass of wine!

I found two new nail colors that I am crazy about. A China Glaze in 652 called Recycle; a beautiful grey and an OPI You Don't Know Jacques, an amazing brown color. They are both fun and unexpected which makes me smile.

I made this website, my homepage. I am making this recipe tonight. I love all the healthy recipes and tips I get from SkinnyTaste.com!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
