Free People + Rebecca Minkoff = Lunch Date
I love putting together casual outfits that you can hang around the house in, or meet a friend for lunch. This outfit meets the requirements for both. The stars of the show, are my Free People top and Rebecca Minkoff bag. I wanted to go with mostly black for this outfit, so I could use the bag for a pop of color. The leopard belt seemed to tie it all together. Black chandelier earrings were the only jewelry needed.
I have to talk about this top. You have probably seen it everywhere on everyone. I have been eyeing it for months. The first version I saw was a Tibi and cost way more than I wanted to pay. Soon however, I was seeing other brands making it, but it would go out of stock faster than you could hit "checkout!" Last week, it came back in stock and I decided to get it, in black, and white. I love how you can return things to Nordstrom so easily and free. I always know if it doesn't work I can return it. I won't be returning this top and here is why. It is well made with nice fabric (not see through), it fit perfectly so was TTS; I have on a small. The main reason I will keep it, is that it is comfortable. I have a few off the shoulder tops and if I raise my arms for anything they fall off the shoulder, slide up or down or both. This top raises a little but stays in place so I am not adjusting it all the time. Also, this top rests higher on my shoulders; it doesn't sit way down on my arms making me feel like it is falling off. Another thing I love is the sleeves. They tie so you can wear the sleeves long where they look bell shaped or tighten the ties so they stay up higher on your arm. Absolutely a keeper! It is tunic length on me, so I can wear it out or tuck it in somewhere if I choose. A very versatile top!
One of my little buddies had perfect photo bombing timing in this picture. I love it!
This outfit was so comfortable I could wear it all day just hanging around the house.
Thanks for stopping by!
Peace!
