Blue Desires . . .

I had almost forgotten about the color blue this season. I don't know why because it is a perfect winter color in any climate. But because I was out thrift shopping and found this lovely J. Crew scarf and beautiful leather Elliott Lucca cross body bag, both blue (and both in perfect condition) the color started seeming very desirable to me.

As I mentioned before, I didn't have room to bring many clothes with me for our visit to Arizona. We decided to stay a few weeks and so I decided I wanted to curate my closet here, so in the future I wouldn't need to bring much of anything. But, I didn't want to go buy all new things. I decided to check out the dozens of thrift stores in my area to see what I could find. Talk about having fun! I love a good treasure hunt and here in Arizona I am never let down.

For this outfit I brought out my trusty flared jeans, a navy cold should top that I got at a Ross for $12 and my newly acquired scarf and bag. My tan booties are very old but the only booties I brought with me. I am wearing less jewelry all the time. There is something I like about no jewelry. The simple look, the weightlessness around my neck, wrists and ears. And with the details of my top, scarf and bag, it was enough.

Have you ever scored big at a thrift shop?

Last couple of things, I wanted to share this wonderful resource my husband found for me. It is a free online digital photography class through Harvard. Here is the link. I am taking it and I can't believe how much I am learning and I just started today! I am so excited because they offer all kinds of free courses in business, health, personal development, several foreign languages and so much more. I think I will take several classes because continued learning is so important to me.  I really want to work on my French too!

Also, I signed up for two 5Ks this month. For the next two Saturdays I will be running for a cause. This coming Saturday is to support Home For Good a nonprofit no-kill shelter. I am so excited!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
