the scoop

Happy new year gang! Welcome to my new blog design. I had so much fun coming up with a new look and I hope you enjoy it. Biggest new thing is the drop down menus at the top with lots of options for navigating.  And then the home page is a one stop spot where you can just scroll down for links to recent posts, about me page, categories such as fashion, lifestyle, health and beauty and you can check out our shopping page and link ups.

I'm excited for the new year! I am putting my best foot forward along with my happy face and digging into my blogging hobby with gusto. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you stopping by to visit and sharing your thoughts! Thanks so much!

my outfit

This look was created on Christmas eve. We were going out to Starbucks for morning coffee and this is what I came up with. No outside pictures that day because is was -3 degrees. These jean are what I have read will be the "it" jeans this year. Read more about them on WhoWhatWear here. These are ( Lolita Capri Cropped) Lucky brand jeans probably my favorite brand for about 15 years. Only over the last couple of years have I found a brand I like as well, 7 for all Mankind.  These jeans are skinny jeans but I sized up so the leg is wider achieving the straight leg style. These jeans have a higher waste and are cropped.  I got them last spring and love the fit and style. I wore a gray sweater with a v neck, a gray lace racer back bralette, a thin leopard belt and my beloved plaid pumps. To accessorize I carried a red tote. So loved this look!

I linked up my exact jeans (size 4) and sweater (size small), and found similar belt, shoes and bags to check out. This will all be kept on the boutique page for quite a while. Note: This sweater is on sale and is not high quality. I love the fit though and got it in a couple of colors because it is a perfect everyday sweater.
