A blast from the past but still a good one! Why don’t I wear basics more often? There are so many variations of denim (blue, black or white) and basic tops, jackets and shoes. I always start working on these elaborate looks and really basics put together? Well nothing works better!
My Look
I say this a lot, but this really is one of my favorite outfits ever. It came out of the fact that I couldn't think of what to wear, so I thought why not just go basic. You can never go wrong with black jeans, white shirt and denim jacket. All basic pieces that work perfect together. For a little pizzazz I added a leopard belt. I am so ready for spring and decided it is frame of mind when you live in so much snow so I grabbed a bright red bag and pulled out a colorful spring scarf to tie to it. I always think my signature necklace goes with every thing so I wore it and went for the comfort of low heeled booties. Wow! I forgot how great basics can work and why we can them BASICS!
A tip
I think playing around with sleeves is a way to add distinction to your style. When wearing a shirt under a jacket, I like the underneath layer to peek out. I love to roll up the jacket sleeve a little or a lot, what ever looks appealing. It's just a little detail that can make a lot of difference.

My exact look is a pair of 7 For all Mankind skinny jeans, white Loft Shirt, denim jacket, booties and a leopard belt (Michael Kors).
