High Low Style
Happy Memorial Day everyone! Thank you to all the veterans and soldiers that have kept and still keep us safe and free. My father is a Korean War veteran and a shining example to our family. He is the small town hero where I grew up being asked to be Grand Marshall in not only homecoming parades but Forth of July and memorial day parades. His service to the community never ends, from fixing things for people to taking residents from the the local nursing home to doctor's appointments or on little day trips just to get them out for a while. He even takes his dog in to visit and cheer up those who are confined. He was sent to the Korean War front lines just a few weeks after his two year old son died. He was barley a grown man himself and I can't even imagine what it must have been like for him to be sent so far away from home after just losing a child. Forever, my heart goes out to him along with the deepest gratitude, for without men and women like him I wouldn't be living the life I live today. Not a day goes by that I don't think of the sacrifices made on my and our country's behalf. So again, thank you.
And now today's fashion post. Keeping with my dedication to doing posts on dresses on Mondays, today's dress is another goodin'! It's a high-low hem slip dress made of a nice quality fabric and built-in bra. The back has really cute detail. I can wear this dress when I go out to lunch, dinner, boat rides on the lake or barbecues on the deck. We live in a resort town and vacation mode is the normal mode of dress for everyone. I added my favorite boat hat, wedge sandals that have all the same blues and carried my wicker vacation tote. For jewelry I wore dangle earrings that had shades of blue, a white watch and a fun multi-beaded bracelet also sporting blues. The outfit was a hit for me, meeting all my requirements, fun, chic and comfortable.
