The Outfit
I know I have been going a little scarf in the hair silly lately so I thought I would give it a break and do scarf on the bag! Ha ha! Anything I can do to add color to my outfit makes me happy. There was a little chill in the air when I wore this outfit and I was only too happy to put on the orange cotton sweater. I really wanted it to pop so I wore it with white jean and neutral mules and carried a neutral tote on which I tied a colorful scarf!

Lilacs & Great Grandma Goldie's Rhubarb Rolls Recipe
Today, I picked Lilacs from my yard. I planted these bushes a few years ago and they are finally producing my favorite flower! We have very harsh winters so it takes several years to get a plant strong and productive. We've also planted lots of peonies, gooseberry bushes, blackberry, raspberry, strawberries, asparagus, and rhubarb. They've all been growing a few years now and some are producing like crazy. I know most people don't like gooseberries but for me they are sentimental since it was a favorite pie my mom made every summer when I was growing up.
I also spent time today making a recipe that was my great grandmothers. I had Rhubarb ready to pick and I was talking to my mom and she said her favorite Rhubarb dessert was the one Great Grandma Goldie used to make. I was able to find the almost exact recipe online here. See the results below. I'm so excited to eat it! I LOVE Rhubarb.
