A Scarf In My Hair

Last Monday I did a post on a shift dress and how I wore it with a belt (here). This week I decided to try another shift dress and go a little Jackie O and wear a head scarf. But first the dress. I saw this online at Nordsrom Rack and of course it was a great discounted price. I loved the color, that is was off shoulder and mostly the big bow on the back. What a way to make an exit! I still felt like I was wearing a sack but the overall effect was what I was going for so I went with it. I took a fun scarf and folded it and put in around my head and felt very vintage! I wore my tan wedges and carried a wicker tote and was happy with the final outfit. The dress was so comfortable because the fit in my shoulders was perfect, no slipping down or riding up. I am so in excited that I have something fun to do with my hair too. I am sure I will be wearing a scarf in it a lot this summer. It really adds volume and interest. When I went outside I added sunglasses for chic appeal. Ha Ha!

There are a couple of things I wanted to share with your that I am so excited about. First, this is not sponsored its just a tip I have discovered that I can't believe I haven't found out about sooner. I use self tanner in the summer because I love the tanned look. But to be honest it gets really old applying everyday to keep it the darkness I want and even the best smelling brands still stink. But a couple of years ago I bought a bottle of Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs thinking I should try it. I never did thinking it would rub off on my clothes or furniture. It is basically leg makeup. Anyway, today when I was dressing I noticed my self tanner had faded so I thought I'll finally try this product. OH MY GOSH you guys! It took very little of the product, you spray it in your hand and rub on your legs and feet like makeup, it is totally dry in 60 seconds and your legs look like velvet! I am wearing it in these pictures so you could see. I am wearing the Medium Glow and it is almost the exact color of my skin. It covers every flaw and well its just amazing. I'm not sure I will ever use self tanners again.

One more thing, my stylist has worked with me for the past year to get my hair color back to its natural state. Well, I thought I had more grey and would like it but it is just a boring dark blond so I went to her last week and said add some light! She added highlights and I am much happier with it now. I have went to her for over 10 years and she is an amazing stylist. If you live in Boise and need someone really good you can email her at wirgesangel@gmail.com.
