Summer Nautical

THE OUTFIT

I wish you could see this top up close. It is a tunic tank in a deep navy color with little anchors all over. So adorable! I added white skinny jeans, navy wedge sandals, a white denim jacket and a navy fringed clutch. As usual I wore my big hoop earrings, and layered my delicate necklaces. Everything is old but you can definitely recreate this outfit if you want a nautical look. Start with cropped white pants, a navy or red top, a fun denim or canvas jacket and you are good to go!

RECENT Outing

Last Saturday I met up with a gal pal and we participated in a local walk/run for charity. It was called the Huckleberry Trot and it was held in a tiny town down the road from us. It was a beautiful morning in the mountains and afterwards we went to lunch at Bistro 45 for an amazing spinach salad. We had such a good time catching up and talked so much it almost wore me out more than the walk. Ha Ha! We got to eat outside in the most lovely environment. If you are ever in McCall I would recommend eating at the Bistro 45.

I was worried about being outside exercising because for the past couple of weeks the Northwest has been enveloped in smoke due to fires all over the place. It has been so bad that I only go out early in the day and I keep the house closed up all day and night. Where we live it stays so cool we have never had to use air conditioning and we still haven't needed it this year. My house stays cool enough that I usually wear a cardigan all day while inside. I try to do my hikes or runs early in the day but many days by the end of the day, I am dizzy and light headed from the smoke. I think we are about out of it for this year (this is an annual thing) so I am looking forward to our fresh pine scented air again soon.

My gal pal and I decided to plan an outing. We live about a four hour drive from Sun Valley, ID and we have heard there is an amazing consignment store there so we are going on a day trip soon. We are both excited!

NEW PINTEREST GROUP BOARD

I wanted to share with you a new group board on my Pinterest! I love Pinterest as many of us do but it seems as in many things, it is more represented by the young and fabulous in the fashion and style genre. I am moving to make a change and created a group board titled Style Wise. Check it out here. It was just created and needs some more inspiration so if you are a fashion and style blogger and would like to be a contributor let me know via northwestmountainliving@gmail.com. I would love to have more Style Wise women help me show brands and society our value and relevance!

MOVE IT OR LOSE IT

On last Saturday's edition of the "Move It Or Lose It" segment, I shared all the apps I use to help me stay on track. You know, there's an app for that! Next Saturday I will talk about my DNA surprise! I hope to see you there! Sign up below for my newsletter if you want to get the reminder.
