The Curated Closet

the scoop

After several years of blogging and many years before that of learning what I like to wear and building a wardrobe around it, I finally feel I have the curated closet. I could walk into my closet and style an outfit for almost any occasion without buying a single thing. So this year, most of my posts will be showing you how I restyle the things I own without buying a lot more.

Most everything in my closet is not new. Some things are up to 13 years old bought new. Some things were purchased at consignment shops and still others at thrift shops. It has been fun to collect all these things and now I am going to give it a rest and play with what I have. I will still be hunting for options to post for anyone who is looking for a particular item. It's just part of the fun of my blog.

my outfit

This outfit features a pair of trouser jeans bought at the Loft five or six years ago. I loved them so much and figured they would stand the test of time so I bought three pairs. The sweater was purchased last winter at Express. I got it in a pretty forest green too. My belt is probably five years old. I have learned that anything leopard will be on heavy rotation and not go out of style especially if it is a belt, bag or shoes. But also leopard scarves and tops are here to stay. My bag is the newest thing in this look, a gift from my husband last summer. A Louis Vuitton will never go out of style in my opinion. The wedge booties are three years old and in my book are on the way out so I may donate them soon. This is an outfit that would work for almost any occasion that comes up in my life and can be styled many times more.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
