The Scoop

I have been MIA for a couple of posts because we have been doing a few condo projects. I am done now and switching my focus on other things. We try to do a few little updates each year when we come to stay and this year we did some painting and got new carpet. The weather has turned fabulous so now I am ready to work on the blog and more importantly spend time taking care of myself.

I want to really get serious about my runs and weight lifting and I want to drop at least five pounds but mostly I want to feel strong and fit! I was revisiting some of my fitness posts and thought I would do a series of updates for spring. They are all still so relevant and help motivate me and I hope others too. My husband is a research scientist and helps me weed through and understand the current studies and I find it so interesting and valuable as I age and try to stay fit. So I’ll be working on what we are learning and doing for our health.

My Look

So this is a fun look. I love this style of top but can’t always pull it off but is was just so comfortable I went with it. It is an over sized sort of baby doll style. The style and colors made me start thinking spring too! I wore this top with a pair of designer jeans that I got on sale and thought I would see what all the buzz was about. My verdict? I love these AG jeans (The Farrah Skinny Ankle) a high rise skinny ankle style but would never pay full price. Since these were on sale they are worth it. I bought a few other designer brands and will share my thoughts as I style them. Over all they are nice but you can get a lot of lower priced jeans that are just as nice in every way in my opinion. My favorites right now are Lucky Brand jeans ( Lolita Skinny)! I sized up in all these jeans for a more relaxed skinny look. It almost gives them a straight leg look which is the latest trend right now. I wore a pair of wedge sandals with this look and carried my new favorite back pack that is a fabulous mustard color!
