The Scoop

We’ve been in Arizona for a few weeks now and I have been getting back into a good fitness routine. I am doing strength training one day, one hour hike on a local mountain on the next day and then yoga on the third day. Then I start all over again, usually taking one day a week where I just walk around at a festival or outdoor event or even just shopping.

Today was yoga day. I love yoga probably the most because it is a nice way to meditate too. It stretches, strengthens and helps me with balance, all good things to have if I am hiking on jagged rocks, or even lifting weights.

I have a ton of fabulous yoga sessions on my iPad that I use and am able to do these workouts anywhere. I love to do them with my puppies trying to get in on the action.

Today I had the cleaning cycle on on my oven and the weather was so fabulous I just left the front door open while I worked out.

I would love to say that I was doing as well with my diet this week but I have been so busy which leads to stress which leads to me eating the wrong things at times. I would say I hit the mark 60% of the time in eating healthy foods and 80% OK on portion size. But it still bugs me not to do better. For instance after my hike yesterday I ate one of those Costco Very Berry Sundaes. Not good! But for dinner I had a nice Spinach Salad. Inconsistent for sure. Ugh.
