The Scoop

As a woman over 50 this voice whispers in my ears often, “Will you look to old to be wearing this?” I usually ignore it and find a way to make whatever it is I want to wear work for me. I guess I’m from the part of the country where women were criticized a lot. Don’t show your aging arms, legs, or neck. Your hair is too long, you look like your trying to look young. Almost anything you did to look and feel good was just bad taste.

Well I’m not trying to look young, I am trying to look fabulous! So cut it out little voices! In this post I am showing my legs and arms and neck! Gracious! Get me some nerve pills. Also something they gave women during menopause because heaven forbid they complained or reacted to how they were feeling.

I’m so glad those days are mostly gone.

Look One

This lovely dress shows arms, legs and neck and it is fun, pretty and comfortable! I would also wear it with sneakers or sandals. Its a fabulous cotton material that buttons down the front. I took off the white tie that came with it and added a pink patterned Ted Baker scarf to give it a little somethin’ somethin’! A bright pair of pink pumps made this look sing to me! A summer bag completed my look.

Hair Accessories

I found these pretty little bobby pins at Walmart and knew I would wear them a lot since I am always pulling my hair back or to the side. I put two in and love the look! I tried to find them online but Walmart’s site is still clunky if you ask me and I could not find them. I am sure you can find tons in all the stores though. I’ll link a few pretty ones too.

Look Two and Three

The next couple of looks start with shorts that are so so comfy. They have elastic waist bands with an added drawstring. I could have went down a size but this was the smallest size so I am making them work. They are a fabric that is light and breathable. Perfect for summer. The tops are also comfy and complete the looks along with sandals. A straw summer bags is the perfect accessory! These are size small so I would say they run a little large but then I kind of like the over sized look.
