The Scoop

I would never wear a midriff showing crop top but I do like shorter tops when I am wearing a high waist pair of jeans. Especially if the jeans are over sized, it helps balance the look. But also being from a generation where these tops were very popular I love them! So I thought I would pull together a look using my one and only crop top.

In the picture above I am in my newly painted office and I’m trying to show you that I got my caricature framed and hung up. I just love it! It was done several years ago by @bethbriggs.

My Look

I got this top in Arizona over the winter. It is a very light weight material and I loved the colors and stripes. The edges of the sleeves and hem are sort of ruffled. It covers everything but still has the illusion of a fun trend. I wore my over sized straight leg “mom jeans” with it and then to add some more seventies vibes I wore my platform sandals and carried an earthy looking bag. For jewelry I wore big hoop earrings which are my favorite type of earring.

Vintage Bag

In a couple of the pictures you will see my macrame bag that I got at a thrift shop last summer. Oh my gosh gang, back in the day I knew how to do macrame wall hangings. I also cold crochet a fabulous throw.

Another Look

I wanted to show you this dress. Since I was wearing it I got a couple of pictures. I have it in grey too and it is so comfortable that the grey one became a night gown. I wear it almost every night because is so comfy! But the black one I thought I would wear in the day time. It really is like a mumu! I wore my Tommy Bahama flip flops and my Tommy Bahama hat. The flip flops have a little silver pineapple on the top!
