Fall Trends I'm Loving

The Scoop

Happy September gang! I’m back and have lots of new ideas to share after taking a break to watch and listen to the fashion world. I have to say there is something to be said about soaking up ideas and letting them percolate a little. It gave me time to think about how to apply new and old trends into my looks for fall.

Besides watching all sorts of videos, reading articles and watching documentaries about fashion and fashion icons I was happy to see where my personal style fit in. When the sky in the limit it is always nice to feel comfortable with your own fashion space.

For the next few posts I’m going to share which trends I warmed up to that would work for my lifestyle. Starting with color. Brilliant color is a fabulous trend for fall. I love color so seeing how it is added to fall looks has been perfect for me. Mostly I am seeing it in sweaters but color at all is fabulous and it doesn’t need to be the traditional fall colors. I’m seeing purples (think dark iris), pinks (think rainbow pink), blues (think periwinkle) , greens (think pistachio) and more.

My Look

When creating this look I started with the pants. It’s still warm here during the day so these light weight, relaxed pants were perfect for a casual day in the mountains. Next I added the bright yellow sweater (Trend Alert)! I wore a black belt and leopard slip on sneakers and loved the balance of color and structure. These sneakers are the most comfortable shoes I have right now. Obsessed! I carried a structured cross body bag (Trend Alert) and that completed my look. I mixed gold and silver jewelry which worked well with my silver belt buckle and gold accent on the bag. It’s hard to tell but my bag is a deep plum.
