Black and Cognac For Summer Style

I always think of black and cognac as a color combo for fall and winter but this look changed my mind! This dress is so comfy and very well made. I saw it on the Coast to Coast blog where I often find things I love. It is a good weight fabric with straight stitching. It is the right length for me also, lots of times this type of dress is too short or too long. It is so pretty with the sort of tulip style hem. I love that it is a basic and can be dressed up or down. I think it would be just as cute with sneakers or flip flops or even for fall, booties!
My Look
I’m wearing a black tee shirt style dress that I accessorized with a denim shirt, wedge mules, a straw hat, tan bag and statement necklace. I could take the shirt off for warmer parts of the day or leave it on if it is cool.
