Thinking Valentine's Day Outifts

The Scoop

Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday after Halloween. I always get so excited about all the candy, flowers and hint that spring is just around the corner.

It’s a tradition with me and my husband that I take the point on Valentine’s Day. I think it is just too much pressure to put on a man to live up to all the hype. So almost every year, I plan a dinner at home, we dress up, eat in an elegant setting and toast to each other. As we get older romance is often an after thought but on this day it is front and center for us. No gifts necessary, just remembering why we love each other.

I am so excited for Valentine’s Day this year that I am already planning. I’m starting with what to wear. Next I’ll plan what we will eat and any other details, like music. I have already started a little decorating with home crafts of hearts hanging around the house. I even ordered a few decorations to add to the ambience.

My Look

I took these pictures last summer in the mountains. When I ran across them the other day I remembered how much I love this Free People dress. I decided it would be what I would wear this year for Valentine’s Day (probably). It is flowy and a pale pink which makes it so romantic and its bohemian style is fun. I have on a gold heart necklace that is also perfect for the holiday look.
