Randomness
The Scoop
I take pictures all day long, every day. I love to look at simple things and think about the art, the randomness of life and the humor in things. It is such an outlet of expression for me. This post is just some of my randomness.
The first picture is my living room sectional. I washed all the slip covers and put them on. They are made of such great fabric; you just wash it in cold and they come out almost dry right out of the washer. You put them on as soon as you take them out of the washer to finish drying them. I did have to use the steamer on the skirt.
In the next picture I am showing you my decorative pillows. I buy covers for different seasons and put them on my rather large collection of pillow inserts. These are for Valentine’s Day/ Spring/Summer.
I decided I don’t need new furniture for this place so I am using all of the things I already had and sometimes repurposing. It’s been fun. This was my desk in the last house.
The books and clock are thrift finds. The flowers have followed me for 20 years. The lamp came from Marshals a long time ago.
I’ve been playing with our air fryer and thought a couple of cookbooks would be fun. There is so much you can do with an air fryer. And you can get flavors you love in a much healthier way.
I put a throw on the sofa for the dogs and noticed last night that I was the only one on it.
I love food and always have things sitting out ready to use.
I am being very health conscious right now, working on losing the last few pandemic pounds I gained this year. I’ll write more about that later. But part of my routine is to cut out the wine in the evenings. I’m participating in the Dry January challenge. I really haven’t missed it too much but I love to drink my La Croix in a pretty glass. To me every day should be celebrated and toasted even if with a nice glass of sparkling water.
For the new year I got a new phone cover and pop socket. The socket has glitter that floats around and is so pretty. And the case matches my coffee cup in pretty pinks.
We have all kinds of beautiful birds visit us in our back yard. Our most regular lately has been a Roadrunner. I am so fascinated by him and his beauty. He is rather large too I think.
I found this amazing recipe for Mexican cabbage soup. We try to eat mostly meatless and this soup is so amazing you don’t even miss meat! I improvised some using what I had on hand but it will be made on repeat. I find a bowl of soup so filling and satisfying for dinner. Here is the recipe.
Thanks for stopping by!
Peace!
