The Scoop

There is just something so fun about taking things that normaly wouldn’t be thought of as belonging together and putting them together and creating a fabulous look. Like taking a high end item and paring it with a thrift shop item. Or something that is thought of as dressy and putting it with something way casual. I do this sort of thing all the time. It’s like life in a way, all the differences in us as humans makes us way better when we are together.

My Look

I got these jeans (Levis) a couple of months ago and haven’t had a chance to wear them until today. I am telling you these are the best jeans and getting them in black was a wise move on my part. They are the perfect straight leg cut for me as well as the perfect medium weight fabric and the deep black color is hard to come by in a denim. Just saying, LOVE!

My top is last year from Target. It is full cut sort of like the old swing cut coats you could buy. It is as soft as anything I own and it is flannel in that old fashioned red and black. Yes please!

My pumps are Sam Edlemans from last year and I don’t know why I didn’t have a pair of nude pumps like these long before then. They go with everything and can take any look from a look to A LOOK!

My bag is old by Tory Burch. It is a gorgeous green that I have never seen in another bag. Needless to say it has been a favorite bag for a long time. But then almost all my bags are favorites. If I don’t love a bag I usually won’t buy it. I even name my bags! haha.

So you see how I took a very casual flannel shirt and created an almost dressy look. Not too much but I would wear this to any occasion where I wanted to look puled together but comfortable.

Hair Story

I told you in a prior post that I cut my bangs and now I am not so sure I am glad about it. haha. They are getting too long and I don’t want to cut them again so I am sort of stuck with them sticking out.

Lately my hair has been very dry. I know we live in a climate that is dry so I am guessing that is part of it. I am trying different things to protect it so hopefully I can pull it together soon. I really like Biolage products lately.
