Casual Look for Spring 2021
The Scoop
I was of the opinion that you had to wear a fitted top with wide leg pants so you wouldn’t look drowned by fabric. But the other day I was watching TV and I saw a designer styling models in spring looks. She reported that boxy on top of boxy was very in this season. And it was like a light went off. Yes the models look fabulous. It was all about balance. So I straight away planned a look with this trend in mind. Now I am sure I will be doing a lot more of the wide on wide or boxy on boxy! So chic!
My Look
So my wide leg pants are amazing. I got them on sale a while back and they are still available. The are a lovely fabric and fully lined so no see though issues. My top was bought last summer and is just beautiful. Its still available also and the price is amazing for a nice quality. This top is timeless and I will be wearing it for years. I’m still wearing my sky high sandals because it is look I can’t get enough of. I love the height they provide and the sophisticated look.
I am really having fun mixing my jewelry metals. I am a silver or platinum girl all the way. I always have been but the last couple of years I have picked up a couple of two toned pieces and even a couple of gold necklaces. I just love the contrast like in these picture where I am wearing silver hoop earrings and a gold layered necklace and then mixed tone bracelets and then my platinum and silver rings. They seem to just go right together.
My Hair
I’m a nut, I fess up right now. I am watching the Gilmore Girls again and they all wear pig tails all the time. It is just too cute and my hair is a little unruly with not being able to get it cut so I have taken to wearing pig tails all the time. They are easy and comfy and can take a bad hair day and make it into a who cares hair day. Who knows when this phase will pass. But that’s the story.
