The Scoop

I have been cleaning out my closest this spring and part of my process is to wear things once before I make a final decision on weather to give away or keep and use. I have a few pairs of jeans that I love but are too big now. I washed them in hot water and dried on higher heat and was able to shrink them enough to keep them. The fit is not perfect but it will do.

Tops and other things just can’t be shrunk and I am not good enough at sewing to alter them so I have been donating. It feels good to have less in my closet and to be keeping only the things I use and love. My closet is a lot more organized so I know what I have and can use it more.

My Look

This is a favorite spring look for me here in Arizona. I love this new high waist straight leg style of denim. I think the silhouette they provide is new and interesting. I got these jeans a year ago so they are a pair I shrunk up since I have lost 12 pounds this year. That is a good two sizes so I ran them through the shrinking process a couple to times.

I love the new bodysuits with this denim trend. All the bodysuits I have bought are thick and lined and are so comfortable. I don’t feel slouchy wearing them like I do with the over sized tees that have been popular the last few years. This one is from last year, Express. Express had many really cute ones on sale right now. Lately I have bought a few from Amazon that I love.

My wedges are old and I don’t know where I got them but they are a perfect casual neutral for this look. And my camo jacket is old but a classic basic and I wear it year after year.

My necklace is going on 20 years old. I got it at a jewelry boutique and it was a one of a kind. It is really my signature necklace because I wear it so often. It was fun to pull it out and style with this look.

My Tory Burch bag is from last year too. I remember when it went on sale and I thought it was such a good neutral that would be so functional. And it has been!
