Oh What A Scarf Can Do
The Scoop
We are heading around the curve to our last bit if time in Arizona until next fall or winter. I am trying to figure out if I will need to take a break from the blog or continue when I can while we transition. At any rate I will be back to our mountain home and settled later in April so if I don’t completely stop between next week and then it may be sporadic posting.
My Look
Today I got out my scarves for spring and summer. I love a monochromatic outfit that I can just add a pop of texture, color, or design to finish the look. Scarves are the best way to give your look distinctiveness. Very few people have the same scarf so it can make your look really yours.
There are so many ways to tie a scarf but sometimes just tossing it over your shoulders is the best, no fuss way to wear one. In this post I did just that. In a couple of the pictures I knotted the ends of the scarf to switch the look up but it is still just hanging over my shoulders.
Using a bold color or design makes a look distinctive too. My scarf is old but it is a beautiful navy and white paisley design with tassels.
Jewelry and Makeup
Jewelry I’ve been wearing this spring.
My exact makeup.
BB cream in light/medium I only cover spots (used this for years and always go back after trying tons of things) has SPF
Tinted sun screen does the rest of my face and goes on first
Lip liner in Soar (goes with everything sort of a nude)
Mascara black (favorite for years, tried many)
Lipstick (pink peonies also favorite for years)
Wild West shadow (obsessed, recent find)
Whiskey Liner ( most loved liner ever, a recent find).
Bronzer, blush, highlighter palette, medium bronze, soft gold, classic pink ( used for years and always go back after trying other things)
Create Your Own Look
I think everyone has monochromatic looks in their closet. Maybe an all black or blue or any color. These are all a canvas for your creation.
My look is all old but I am linking options just in case you want something. First scarves . . .
My Steve Madden wedges are so many years old. You will see them in blog post after post. I think they may be one of my favorite summer sandals. Linking options.
Thanks for stopping by!
Peace!
