Our little mountain community is built around a beautiful lake. On one side of the lake there is a gorgeous beach, shops for shopping and lots of fabulous restaurants. They all offer outdoor dining on the beach or on a deck built out over the water. Lots of people just boat up to the dock and walk the few feet to enjoy these amenities. It’s always been that way even before covid. They have fabulous shopping, food, drinks and views!

Dates don’t have to be at night here, you can do a breakfast, brunch or lunch outdoors and then walk right to the shops, or the beach and sit by the water, swim, paddle board or even take a boat ride. It’s the perfect romantic environment.

My Look

I saw a YouTuber last week who had the most fabulous idea which made me think of putting this look together. She was wearing a bathing suit as a body suit. Ha! What a great idea. So I decided to drag out my old bathing suit and see what I could do. While I was at it, I used my bathing suit cover in this look. I realized that I am sorely lacking in bathing suits here and ordered a few more. If nothing else I will be wearing them as bodysuits this summer.

I am wearing an old Calvin Klein one piece bathing suit and an old cover up that I just love. I added my high waist wide leg slacks and a pair of my favorite sandals, a straw bag and a staw hat, all old. The bag is actually a thrift find from a few years ago. The only new thing is my wicker earrings that I have been telling you about in the last couple of posts. I just love those things. My gold choker and a couple of bracelets complete this look.

And when we head to the beach I can throw my pants and shoes in my bag and I am ready to go!
