Summer Shorts Suit

The Scoop

I’ve been seeing this look all over the internet and thought it would be fun to replicate. I love the look of a blazer with shorts and heels. I like wedge sandals the best but any heel is pretty. Sometimes I see where the shorts match the blazer which is fabulous too. But I kind of like it when they don’t match. Plus we all have these elements in our closets already so it’s a good shop your closet look!

Before I talk more about my outfit I wanted to share a new thing I’m trying. I am so sick of putting on self tanner. I use a lotion every night that exfoliates my skin and so I have to put tanner on almost every morning. Too much work for me. So I pulled out my leg make up. I have had this stuff for so long and only used it a couple of times but thought I would try it for a change of pace. I loved it and wondered why I didn’t use it more often. You can read the review of my lotion I use to for my legs here. I have used it since March and it has completely changed the texture and look of my legs. It is my one miracle product! ha ha.

It’s so easy to use. You just spray it on ( I stand in the shower) and let it dry for a couple of minutes. It didn’t rub off on anything all day long (I’m wearing it in these pictures) and what little bit I got on a white towel while appying washed right out in the washer. I think in the past I just wiped it on with my hands and that worked too. So much quicker than self tanner and I only need to put it on on the days I am wearing shorts or dresses. None of icky stage where the self tanner is coming off and I’m all splotchy or the dark knees from too much application. I actually think it makes my legs look so much nicer. Yep I am going to use this for a while. Love it! My arms are already tanned enough just from being outside on hikes and things.

My Look

I’m wearing a blazer I got very early last spring. It is a linen look but does not wrinkle like linen. My shorts are also linen look, just simple draw string. A basic white tank and a pair of old wedges completed this look.

I think it is fun to have a signature bag. Something no one else has and to carry it most of the time. This one if you read my blog much you know was a thrift find several years ago. I love it and I love that you never see anything like it.

I’m still loving my black benches (DIY) and my fun pillows.
