Sweater Dress Winter 2022

The Scoop

You always see people in pictures sitting on the kitchen counter. I do it occasionally but always worry I will break it. I mean how much weight are they built to hold? But it is a nice height and a different pose for a picture.

I want to paint the island a color. I want to do a lot of things to make our house reflect our style. I am not into white decor; I love moody and romantic colors and textures. After reading a few articles I would say I am more of a maximalist.

I want to have tile installed on our fireplace wall and I want to get other walls painted or wall papered. I have all sorts of ideas but I can’t do it all at once. We just got some of our blinds hung so I think some of my ideas will have to percolate a little.

My Look

I’ve had this sweater dress for over a year. It is so soft and pretty and light weight. I like to wear it with a belt.

This is a belt I got last summer and I like the contrast to the fabric of the dress. You can’t see the earrings but I got them last summer too and they are the same sort of wicker vibe as the dress.

The booties are almost the only booties I am liking right now. I cleaned out my closet last week and donated so many booties. I just felt it was time to let go and only keep what fed my creative side. I love the height of them. Anything around my ankle needs to hit the narrowest part of my ankle to look balanced.

My bag is a beautiful designer bag I found in a thrift shop a couple of years ago, right here in Arizona. It was the perfect color for this look.
