The Scoop

I haven’t blogged for a couple of weeks out of respect for those in Ukraine and because blogging seemed sort of pointless. But after my husband and I found a way to help support those fighting for their lives I feel a little better. Now I feel like working out my creative juices would lighten up my days. So, I will get back to spending at least a little of my time each day absorbed in something less sad. I’ve always said this blog is my happy place. A place to forget about anything but fashion, life and style. So here goes.

My Look

This is such a comfortable look and so affordable! I got a backup pair of these ribbed knit pants in this color and then two pairs of the off-white ones. These will be my go-to pants for casual days. A little elevated from my sweat pants. They are true to size and very well made with an amazing fabric.

I wore a black racer back tank that is tucked in and an old ribbed knit cardigan in cognac. I got this cardigan in three colors when it came out and they are all still favorites for spring and summer. I wish I would have gotten one in black though.

Hair

Yay, I finally got a haircut. I researched for hours and found a salon and a stylist that I was willing to try out and all went well. Paige did a wonderful job. It’s taking some getting used to my new cut. For these pictures I did nothing but brush it out (day three since a wash) and I pulled my bangs up with a clip.

I decided I wanted to go lighter in color and did that myself. I have a lot of gray underneath and it is harder to color anymore. It is the kind of a white ash gray that I don’t like on myself. I am ok with the lighter color but probably will go back to my normal color next time around.

Where Am I?

Here I am standing outside our front door with our yard as my back drop. I have been planting herbs and flowers in pots and we have been adding more plants to the landscape. I love our new home so much. It is quiet, beautiful and filled with wildlife. Our neighbors are all amazing, so nice and friendly. It’s the perfect little community. They best part is, it is backed up to both state and national parks.
