The Scoop

Color is a big trend for spring! I love that everywhere I look I see pops of color. It is a sign of hope and new beginnings to me.

Speaking of new beginnings like many during the pandemic I didn’t do regular preventative care checkups. I was more afraid of Covid. But the month of April for me was all about catching up on things. I’ve had my eye exam, and all the well woman exams including a mammogram and all that is left is my teeth. It feels good to get everything checked out under the engine. I didn’t realize how much it was weighing on my mind until I got things done. Is this a sign that life is getting back to normal?

My Look

I got this beautiful bright orange blazer many years ago at a consignment store. I sure miss the days when I could just stop by our little consignment boutique and find something fabulous. I haven’t found a shop here in Arizona like the one I used to go to in Idaho. Sigh. Does it mean I’m getting old when I keep missing the good old days?

I wore my blazer with a pair of old distressed boyfriend jeans and a top from a thrift shop and sandals that I got last spring. A theme here is everything old is new! Even my bag is several years old. Every piece here is totally something I love and so glad I got.

The top and blazer are both linen so it’s like they were meant to be worn together. The tan shoes and bag balance the look just right. And the jeans? Well, they are so comfortable!
