Move It Or Lose It January 2023

Fitness Inspiration Over 50

The Scoop

I thought I would throw in a post this week sharing my recent fit for life journey. There were improvements and room for more improvements in January.

I did well nourishing my body with whole foods. I faithfully got in healthy foods and mostly stayed away from things that are not good for me.

I didn’t touch a glass of wine or any alcohol for that matter and I still haven’t. It just seems not so fun now that I know that it really is poison. I don’t have any brain or body cells to spare anymore. Ha Ha.

I tell myself each time I think about a drink or sugary food how it makes me feel after the fact, health wise. Not good. I go for the good feelings these days.

I sporadically exercised during January but didn’t feel like I was in a good routine. So, for February I decided to add in yoga daily. If I take walks or do other things great, but I am committed to daily yoga. Its another thing I always feels better for doing.

My goals for February are to continue to nourish my body with healthy foods and do yoga daily. It’s nothing radical and should be doable.

I chose yoga because it checks off a lot of things important to me. It improves my balance, my breath, my strength and stretches my muscles.

The wheels are turning in my mind for the best way to include cardio into my fit for lifestyle. I already walk daily but it doesn’t feel like enough. I will try a few things here and there to see what feels good and have a plan to begin in earnest in March.

My goal is to add something fun and new each month. That will keep me from getting too bored and hit all the important things needed to be fit for life!

Are you working toward one fitness goal, or do you think long term?

My Look

I’m wearing my favorite leggings in this post (Lulumon), a great tank with built in bra (Amazon), a fabulous track jacket (Amazon) and a pair of Addidas sneakers (Nordstrom).

I got my glasses from Warby Parker online (not sponsored). I just sent them my perscription via email and they walked me through the rest. I love these very light weight and durable glasses. So much that I don’t wear contacts nearly as much anymore.
