Very High Waist Wide Leg Denim Look Fashion Over 50

The Scoop

We are doing Thanksgiving dinner at our house again this year and I am so excited to spend the day with family. We always love to mix up the menu and this year we are thinking Prime Rib, my famous homemade rolls, au Gratin potatoes and a spinach salad. We haven’t decided about dessert yet.

My Look

I am thinking about ways to dress for Thanksgiving that are comfortable but still festive. This cute plaid top really fits the bill. I can wear it tucked in or out and I won’t get too hot while I am preparing for guests. If it does get cool a sweater or jacket will easily layer with it. I love the pretty little ruffle around the neck and sleeves.

I am wearing this top with a pair of very high waist wide leg jeans. I love the exaggerated style of these pants. I am wearing an old pair of clogs and carrying my Rebecca Minkoff bag to complete this look. For my hair I added a fun headband. I do that a lot to give my hair more fullness and it seems more dressed up.
