How I Shop Poshmark Fashion Over 50

The Scoop

I thought it would be fun to share with you how I shop Poshmark. It is an online store where you buy pre-loved or even new clothes. I love this way of shopping for special items and have bought a few things over the years.

I use Poshmark to find things that I have seen in person. Usually, it is something that I thought was fabulous but no longer available new.

Rebecca Minkoff Handbag

Like in the pictures above and below of the Rebecca Minkoff bag. I had seen this bag for a few years before I bought it on Poshmark. It would sell out so fast I could never get my hands on it but I knew it would be a classic that I would love forever. So, I searched Poshmark and found this one with the tag still on it. It was new and I paid a fraction of the cost for a new one. This is one of my very favorite bags and finds on Poshmark. I think I paid $127 with taxes and shipping for a $300 bag.

I’ll take you through some other scenarios . . .

Free People Top

I bought this top years ago and after a year it fell prey to me cleaning out my closet. I regretted it and a couple of years later searched and found it again on Poshmark. Thank you very much! I paid $38.

Chicos Cardigan

This is a cardigan that I bought at a consignment store. At one point I went on a terror of cleaning out my closet and gave it away. Later I regretted it so much I searched on Poshmark and found it! Yay! Some things are so distinctive you should never get rid of them. I paid $62.

Soludos Marseille Wedges

I bought these shoes in late summer this year. I have them in black and love them so much I wanted this tan color. They were sold out everywhere. These from Poshmark were again, like new, no signs of ever being worn. I paid $65.

Nike Jacket

I bought this new in an XS because it was the last one available. It fit ok but I really wanted it in a small so I returned it and searched Poshmark. I found it in a small, in new condition for again, a fraction of the cost of new. I think I paid $70. This was $120 at Revolve when I bought it new.

Anthropologie Dress

I have this dress in two sizes. I found the first one in size 2 at a thrift shop in Arizona. It is designer from Anthropoligie. I decided I loved it so much I wanted to have one at my other house in Idaho so I found it on Poshmark in a size 4 which was perfect for when my weight fluctuates. Again in was in new condition. I paid $56.

Vintage Cropped Embroidered Jeans

The jeans below were my very first Poshmark purchase. I saw a friend wearing them and she had gotten hers at a thrift shop. I wanted a pair so badly that I started searching online and that lead me to Poshmark, where I found them in my size! Gosh they are so cute and I love them acutely! Ha ha. I paid $38.

These jeans are a pair I just bid on. They are from Anthropologie and basically a piece of art which is what I love in my closet.

I never pay full price because you are given the opportunity to make offers and negotiate. I find that so fun. Anyway I made an offer for 10% less and they accepted. I usually get my purchase within a week. I paid $125 including tax and shipping.

Poshmark has strict guidelines and if anyone strays they end up not being able to sell anything. I have also sold a few things on Poshmark and found it easy and fun!

I can’t wait for these to arrive at my door!

I hope this helps you figure out if you want to shop at Poshmark and how you might use this platform. By the way, this was not a sponsored post. I just like Poshmark as a tool in my fashion tool kit for buysing and selling!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
