Remember Sherpa Fashion Over 50

This old thing

There is comfort in wearing something you have loved and worn so many times before.

The Scoop

We have been in Idaho for a couple of weeks but are heading back to Arizona tomorrow. We have enjoyed the snow, I even got to make a snow angel while taking a walk one day. But I am over the winter weather and ready to go home.

The biggest reason I am ready to get back to Arizona is that there is an inversion hanging over the Boise area and the air quality is at very unhealthy levels. I wasn’t aware of it until I started having difficulty breathing and felt like I had allergies. As I write this post the air quality is 154 up from a normal 15 to 30 throughout most of the year. It is making me miserable and I can’t go outside to walk or exercise.

I love Idaho in most of the year but not in the winter when it almost always has inversions trapping all the pollution in the valley area. Since we live in more rural Arizona, we don’t have air pollution issues.

My Look

I am wearing old jeans from the Gap, Steve Madden boots, a merino wool top from Costco and an old sherpa lined vest that I got at a boutique (Mountain Monkey Business) in McCall Idaho when I lived there. This vest makes me happy and brings back fun memories. You can see me wearing it here and here in McCall. And see it here in Arizona.

Peace!
