Fashion For Women Over 50 - Fall Transition Style 2023

The Scoop

As you can see behind me, I have been painting again! I painted this accent wall a couple of weeks ago and we just love the warmth and moodiness it gives our great room. The picture shows way more orange than it is. The name of the color is called Penny Wise and is more of an orange copper color.

On the table behind me are things I have collected this summer for home decor. The pictures behind me I have had for years. I found them at a thrift shop. The lamp was bought at a consignment shop and the bowl was found at a yard sale.

I am linking same pants (on sale) same sweater (part of a set) and same headbands. Also linking some sandal and bag options. The sweater sets are amazing. I have them in three colors.

My Look

I have not been too interested in clothes this summer. I have been trying to balance, setting up the house (this is our first summer in it so it was empty), family (we have had house guests 4 of the 8 weeks we have been here), and staying fit (I am still trying to get my hormones balanced and it has run me through the ringer.)

HRT is going through a “wild, wild west” phase if you ask me. Everyone has a different opinion that is backed up by some science and a lot of it is conflicting. So as women, we must try to stay in tune to our bodies and make decisions without hard data or medical community support. But that is a rabbit hole I will not go down now.

However, I had made commitment to myself to get back to the blog at the beginning of August, so I strained my brain and came up with a few looks looking to the fall season.

Here I am wearing a pair of wide leg jeans that I am obsessed with. I wore a lightweight sweater with cap sleeves that is part of a set I bought. My shoes are an old pair of wedges and then I carried my LV bag (a gift from my husband last year for my birthday). My belt is old, but I wear it year after year because of the fun tassel detail. I am wearing headbands often because they give a little fullness to my hair which I think is fun.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
