Early Adopter And Flats Go Figure

I’ve told you this before that my husband has always called me an “early adopter,” That means I am always one of the first ones to hop on a new idea, trend or product. And yes, I agree I like new things and change!

Fashion is an area I think is the most fun to try new ideas. Almost the minute I saw these jeans which at the time were called horseshoe jeans I loved them! Now they are also called barrel jeans. Last year you saw them on a few people but this year it seems many are enjoying the fun silhouette they provide.

It may seem odd but they really flatter every figure. And in a world where it is scary to be yourself, this is a safe place to go. And if you like to have fun this is that!

My Look

I am wearing a pair of barrel jeans (Free People) that I bought a year ago. My cardigan (Kohls) is many years old. It is a grey leopard which I knew never to get rid of because no matter what they say, it never goes out of style. Now leopard and cardigans are some of the hottest trends of the season!

I have on a belt (Brighton), old and am carrying a bucket bag (Adore) also old and another trend making the rounds again. Big bags including bucket styles are very fashionable again.

My new item in this look is my fun red Mary Jane flats (Marc Fisher). I will tell you that I have always been a girl who loves heels. But this season flats are so on trend and I thought why not give them a go. And you know what? I may never look back. I mean, cute and comfortable? Amen!
