Occasionally, the past can catch us by surprise

As we grow older, our memories become a tapestry of experiences, both joyful and bittersweet. It's natural to find ourselves caught up in the nostalgia, missing the people, pets, and places that have left an indelible mark on our lives.

Yet, as we embark on a new year, let's choose to focus on the gratitude we feel for those cherished memories. They are the threads that weave the fabric of our stories, and we wouldn't have it any other way. After all, it's those moments that have shaped us into the fabulous, beautiful, individuals we are today.

So, let's raise a glass to the year ahead, ready to write the next chapter of our lives with a renewed sense of purpose and positivity. With each day, we have the power to choose happiness, to create new joyful memories, and to leave a lasting legacy. Here's to a year filled with laughter, love, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead!

A Fresh Start: Embracing Simplicity in 2025

I've started a brand new journal this past month, and I only write in it when I have something I truly want to remember or sort out. As we approach the new year, I'm working on a plan for 2025. Not everyone is but I'm a big fan of New Year's resolutions. They actually work really well for me, guiding me in the direction I want to go. In a way, I see them as a form of manifesting the things I desire.

This year, more than anything, I crave peace. So, I'm giving up a lot of relationships that cause me stress or make me feel bad. Over the years I've spent so much time trying to make others happy, and it's just impossible. I deserve better, and I want to spend my time differently.

I'm also simplifying my life in a big way this year. I'm going to be ruthless in choosing to let go of anything that makes me feel like I'm beating my head against a wall. "No" is going to be a powerful word in my vocabulary, without any excuses. I don't want Satellite Radio, streaming TV services, or a bunch of subscriptions to keep track of. I want to listen to music on an old-fashioned radio or our turntable. I want to sit at my kitchen table and slowly savor the food I've made. I want to go for walks where I notice nature, not track my speed or distance. The list goes on, and I'm so excited about it!

Big changes are in store for me this year, my will is strong, my resolve is deep. There will be a learning curve for sure but bring on 2025!

Let’s walk into the new year together, shall we?

Tell me, do you have a plan for 2025?

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!
