Pink Is In The Air

Ah Valentine’s Day. A day that so many have a love/hate relationship with. Ha ha. I don’t take it too seriously. I love the day and I make it easy and fun without pressuring anyone else.

During the year when I see something special, I like, I show it to my husband. Years ago, I would expect him to come up with something and he would always feel bad because he had no idea which way to turn. Then I would feel bad because I made him feel bad.

Now I always make a lovely dinner at home and he gets me something that I showed him I would love and life rolls along with everyone feeling good. I bought him a bottle of his favorite cologne and for dinner I made chicken fajitas and chocolate covered strawberries and we even had a little glass of wine. Simple, private and no pressure.

My Look

This was my casual outfit for the day. Jeans (Target-old), a pink top (Free People-old) and a pair of low heel shoes (floral pumps- thrifted) that I could kick off easily as I made dinner.
