It Snained All Weekend in the Mountains
It snowed/rained or snained all weekend in the McCall mountains. It was dreary and all I wanted was to eat and sleep. But after reading a book by Rachel Zoe, my favorite fashion stylist I was inspired to do a photo shoot to try to get a picture for a blog hosted by bloggers Adrienne of The Rich Life on a Budget and Jill of Everything Just So. This month’s theme is “How I wear my skirt.” I had three different skirts to use and it was fun to pull outfits together.

The first is the picture I sent in for the “How I Wear My” post. This skirt is as comfy as jeans and fun to wear. It is a denim pencil skirt by Leona Women bought online. The top is by Gretty Zueger bought at a boutique called Mountain Monkey Business in McCall, ID. The shoes are Kenneth Cole Reaction purchased at Marshalls. I have on a Michael Kors watch and a silver bangle bought in Mazatlan, MX at an amazing jewelry shop where I have bought a lot of beautiful pieces over the years. The necklace was purchased at my favorite consignment store called Again Consignment.
The top has embroidery all over.
This second skirt is very casual and fun. It is a Black Maxi from the Gap, inspired by Adrienne from The Rich Life on a Budget a couple of seasons ago. She modeled it on her blog and I had to go straight out and get one. Hers was in a sage colored green. The top is a Jockey tank bought at Ross, the denim jacket is Silver Jeans bought at Maurices. The Red bag was bought at a little boutique in downtown Boise ID several years ago. The shoes are so fun but you can barely see them. They are Louise et Cie from Nordstrom online, bought last year so I am not sure you can get the exact pair now. They are calf hair in a leopard print. Another blogger modeled these in one of her blogs; her blog is called Fifty, Not Frumpy. These are one of my favorite pair of shoes right now.
When it snains the lighting is awful for photo taking.
The last outfit is a red maxi skirt from Winsor online. The top was bought at Again Consignment and it is a DKNY. The hat was a spring purchase from Nordstrom which I blogged about recently and the denim jacket is Levi’s from Costco last year.
There you have it. Just some of the ways I wear my skirts.
