J Crew + Hunter = Summer Mountain Style if you ask me! We have had an unusually cool summer in the Idaho mountains and this weekend is a perfect example. Raining with the high of 67 today and predicted high of 51 tomorrow. So what do you do on a cool wet summery day? Why you put on warm, wet resistant clothes and head outside!
A couple of years ago I found this J Crew cotton beach sweater (similar here) on sale and loved it so much I got it in three colors (cream, navy and orange). Cotton sweaters are pretty but also functional where I live. Then, this late spring, I found Hunter boots on sale (same here, love these)and got a couple of pair in different colors (Bright Cerise and Sunset). I already had a pair of navy with dark green and maroon trim). These boots are worn often in our climate. They are warm and cover a good part of your legs to keep you dry. Plus they have that casual; I love the outdoors look. I have been seeing people tying a scarf close around their neck this season and thought that not only was it cute but it would protect my neck from the chill in the air. (love this one and this one) I grabbed a hat (similar here and here) and camera and headed out the door to capture the beauty of my country mountain life.
