Easter Daze

The Scoop

I feel like I am in a daze all the time lately Everything is so out of the normal. Easter sort of came and went without me hardly noticing. We talked to all the kids and they sent pictures of the grand kid’’s enjoying their Easter baskets but other than that it was another stay at home day. I did dress sort of spring like and snapped pictures.

Easter used to be such an important holiday for me. There were times when I hosted for 30 family members, We had the egg hunts, ham and all the fixins’. Maybe next year we can do it up right again.

Other Stuff

I can’t wait until I can get my hair cut. I like it better shorter. I have been coloring my own hair since I was 21 and still use the exact same brand and shade to this day. My stylist will highlight now and then but overall I have always done it myself. I am watching the gray come in but it is just a washed out shade that I find boring so I will keep coloring for now.

I am watching my weight right now but every now and then I want a light dessert. So last week I made my favorite Italian orange cake (Schiacciata Alla Fiorentina). It is lightly sweet and has a beautiful orange scent. Click on the picture below for the recipe.

My Look

Everything is old in this look. I have been loving pink lately so I pulled out several pink items. My jeans are cropped and cuffed so my slides were highlighted. My top was full of shades of pink and I wore pretty pink earrings. I didn’t even think about a bag since I wasn’t going anywhere.
