I Am A Column

The Scoop

We’ve all heard of column dressing. It’s when you dress in one color top to bottom and then you can add accents of color, texture and accessories. I decided today to be just a column. It made me feel strong.

My Look

Everything is old in this look but it is all classic. My black flared slacks made out of a nice knit are so comfortable. No pockets or anything to create bulk, just a side zipper. They are not too high waisted, I would call them mid rise. I will wear these pants forever, everything about them is right for me.

My top is lined and so pretty. I love the scallop trim under the arms. I have very narrow shoulders so this type of top gives me a wider shoulder look. My bag is a black and white Michael Kors and another classic bag that will never go out of style. I wore a pair of tan mules, big hoop earrings and a straw hat to complete this summer look. I got a funky shaped pair of sunglasses that are so fun to add some mystery to the look.

My hair is starting to really bug me so I cut my bangs. My stylist always gets after me when I do that but I am sure she will understand considering the times.
