Square Scarf Equals Kimono DIY

The Scoop

I saw a long time ago how to take a square scarf and make it into a kimono. This is one my oldest and most favorite scarves and I have made it into a kimono before. I’’l give you the details below.

Meanwhile this is a look at my hair cut that I gave myself last week. My ends were so dry and it just felt uncomfortable. So I cut it myself. Surprisingly I am okay with how it turned out. But the good news is I am going to be able to safely see my stylist in a couple of weeks. OMG I am soooo excited to get a cut. It has been since last November. She is going to pop some highlights in too. I love this gal.

How To

It is so simple to turn a large square scarf into a kimono and it is not a permanent thing. Just tie two ends together so you have two tied ends. Then slip your arms through and boom, you have a kimono. When you are done just untie them. My scarf is fun because it has tassels on the ends and adds a little detail.

My scarf is 43” X 43” for reference.

Tucker Time

Tucker decided he didn’t really want to move for these shots.

Linking my favorite jeans right now! I can’t say enough about how comfy they are which is saying something when it has been months since I wore anything slightly structured.
