How I Use Lights For Taking Pictures

The Scoop

In my last post I told you about this lighting kit I had gotten a couple of years ago for taking pictures but never ending up having time to use it. But this week I pulled it out and, Oh How Fun! Lights can make such a difference in the quality of your pictures.

I am a novice at most when it comes to taking pictures. I just snap and hope for the best. I also don’t alter my photos at all except for cropping and sizing to fit my blog’s content management system (CMI). I know it would be a better blog if I could do better but in a way I like just being myself.

You can such a difference in the clarity of my pictures. My goal was to light up shadows. I am only using two lights in these pictures, but my kit comes with four. Two of my light bulbs got broken in our recent move. I have ordered new ones and they should be in today. The kit also comes with different light diffusers, stands for all four lights and stands for back drops, a white one, black one and a green one. This is such a nice kit for the price. I am having so much fun playing around with it.

My Look

I’m wearing all old things here. I got these jeans new 15+ years ago. They are Lucky brand. I’m wearing(Mia) clogs, a Nordstrom bodysuit) and a suede jacket by Blanc. My clutch (V. Clare).
