Spring Blazers

The Scoop

I’m still creating looks for spring in a cold climate. We had snow again a couple of days ago and it was only the 30s for the highs. But the day I took these pictures it was hitting the 50s, the sun was shining and the snow was melting fast! Here in the mountains, that is spring!

The forecast looks like it is only going to get better each day. So this afternoon I am pulling out more of the deck furniture and getting all the firepits ready for action.

Oh my gosh not to change the subject but did you get to see the pink moon? I took lots of pictures but I couldn’t capture the beauty. My husband took the picture below and you can actually see a pink circle around the moon even though the color pink has nothing to do with the actual pink moon. The moon was so low and shinning right through the forest into our bedroom. I watched in awe for the longest time.

My Look

As I have been saying I have to dress differently in this cold climate. Even in the dead of summer you almost always need something to throw over your shoulders in the evenings.

That’s why I decided to add a blazer in a spring color to my closet. I mean gosh this lilac blazer will carry me through to late fall easily.

I wore my blazer with an old J. Crew top, 501 skinny jeans in white with some distressing and a pair of Marc Fisher wedge sandals. And I carried my cloud bag to finish the look.

The top has a little dark blue in it so I wore dark blue Bauble Bar earrings from a couple of years ago. The necklace is old but I wish I hadn’t added it. I don’t like how it looks. I think with a high neckline I should have went without a necklace. I am so much more drawn to chokers right now. In the future I think I will wear a crop top as is the style right now and I forgot I have a lilac one in my closet.

Of course my blazer sold out as fast as I could get it ordered. I also got it in a beautiful aqua color. The brand is Endless Rose and I got it at Nordstrom but I couldn’t find it anywhere to link for you. I was able to get a link to the aqua blazer at Neiman Marcus and I found lots of fabulous options for spring blazers.

I’m linking my exact sandals, my color limited sizing but lots of other colors, my exact jeans I got mine at Revolve (limited sizing) but the Levi’s site has the same ones at a better price. Also linking another option for white 501 skinny jeans that are not distressed.
