The Scoop

Gang we are full on in “sale our mountain house” mode. All hands are on deck sharing it with those who might be interested in buying and we are packing away things we will keep and getting rid of things we won’t use anymore. I am wound up to say the least and rather anxious to get it all over with so we can move to the next step in our lives. You can see our house and all the details here.

So what’s next? This fall whether the mountain house sells or not we are heading to Arizona to start looking for our new home. A place we can manage for the rest of our lives, a place that we can spend time with our kids and grand kids. I guess you could call it our last forever home. We will still have a summer house in a cooler climate somewhere but most of our time will be in Arizona.

We are already looking around to see what is available and we both have specific requirements so it may take us a few months to find just the right house. But we look forward to the journey. That is something I have learned with age.

Looking ahead for my blog I already bought my new domain! It will be the same blog with a new name and domain “Southwestern Desert Living.” I am excited to start working on transitioning my blog to my new lifestyle and home. It is a little soon but I always start things early so there are no surprises! Haha.

My Look

These pictures were taken in Arizona and since I am spending every waking minute thinking about our move I thought I would share a look I wore while there. I have to say most everything new I get is done with the thought of wearing it in Arizona. I adore casual style, its one of the reasons I love our mountain lifestyle and it is the same in Arizona if not more so. A very casual way of life.

I’m wearing a blue top tied at the waist and a pair of fun cropped kick flare jeans. I always have a sweater with me for cool evenings, cold buildings or even in the car if I need more covering. The wedges are a pair of my all time favorites by Marc Fisher. My necklace it a butterscotch agate from Mexico. My bracelet is from Tiffany’s. My bag is Clare V. Everything is old so I doubt I can find any of it to link but I will take a quick peek.
