The Scoop

I got enough outfit photos in the can to get me through a couple of more weeks! Yay! Even though we are busy with the move I still think taking care of myself is important. Maybe more than at any other time. Getting dressed and doing my hair and make up helps so much. Because at least I look like I am coping and I feel stronger. Anyone who has ever moved out of a house they have been in for almost two decades knows what I am talking about. It is stressful both mentally and physically even if you hire movers and help most of it falls on your shoulders.

But no time for boo hooing. I am grateful for this opportunity and determined to live every day full on. Even if my type A personality is a little off kilter with boxes and stuff all over the place I am keeping my focus on the future and on taking each day as a gift and an opportunity to be happy and healthy.

I have watched Angie from Hot and Flashy for so many years and recently she went through a big move leaving her hone of 25 years. She did it mostly by herself and she has been such an inspiration to me. Some days when I am struggling I rewatch her moving vlogs and feel better instantly. It is amazing how some people are helping others so much and they may not even know it.

My Look

Meanwhile I am having fun with what little clothes I have in my closet. Most of it is packed but I kept out a few of my vintage jeans. I got these jeans back in 2005. They have been work horses for me in the jeans department. Lucky brand was my favorite brand for so many years until they changed to a thinner stretchy fabric. These babies are so fine and bring back so many fun memories.

I’m wearing a top I got a few weeks ago with the jeans and a pair of mules also bought this summer. My bag is probably five years old, I am sure you have seen me carry it in past posts if you have read for long. My gold chain choker, gold hoop earrings and mixed metal bracelets have been worn almost daily this summer. This is a simple look made up of basics that I love. Definately a feel good look!
